A secret meeting was bold recently at the headquarters of Urvatski Karitaa
in 1--l"enos Aires, to consider the problem of financing the passage of Croats
.d Germans to Argentina and other So-ith Armrican countries. Father Otjepan
Dra' sno c, a Croat priest who is active in "lav irmigration matters in
Arg;enti ., proposed a plan to create a special fund to brim; "sivi" (grey) *
Croats and Germans to Latin America.

Father Driganovic explained that there are now about 25,000 Croats in Germany
Austria Wand Italy,, as well as approxUiately 3600 Germans in Austria who are

It was further pointed out that there are now about 1300 Croats in Argentina whose
passage was paid by private means., Father Draganovic proposed that each such
Croat contribute 10 pesos monthly to ais'special fund, with larger amounts to be
contributed by wealthy Chats in Argentina.
Father Dragranovic emphasized that there are ways to bring Croat immigrants to
Argentina despite the official > zspension of Slav irmigration.
