Union delegates of the Confederation Generale du Travail (CGT) in Marseilles are currently extremely active among she dockers and seamen at the post. In particular, they are attempting to intimidate r.caleitrant members by references to the coming insurrectior in France and the invasion of the country by the Soviets. Examples of their remarks are as follows: a. Andriani, CGT syudicat chief, recently announced publicly on several occasions that the aoment for the revolution in France is rapidly approaching. b. Brachet, influential member of the CGT in Marseilles and one of the leaders of the strike in November 1947, stated that the commencement of the insurrection is scheduled for the very near future. c.
