This brief provides a metric analyvig_ of nine buildings comprising
th portion of the Moscow/ili Airframe Plant No 23 which has been
constructed since and is based on photography. It.is
intended to supplement CIA/RR RA-20 which is a detailed study of, this
,plant based on
Moscow/Fili Airframe Plant No 23 is believed to be the only factory.
producing the Bison heavy bomber and is estimated to be. one of the five
largest Soviet airframe plants _ It is -located in the western part of
25X1 Moscow in a bend of the Moscow River.
CIA/RR RA-20 estimates flmorspace to have.1?een 2.4 million
square feet, and roof cover, -2. 1 million square feet. The nine
buildings constructed since provide an additional 712, 540 square
feet-of floor space and 590,370 square feet of roof cover, making 1956
floor, space 3. 1 million- square feet and roof cover 2.7 million square
feet.
KEY TO ANNOTATIONS
Building 1 A probable combination shop and administration building.
It has two two-story wings Ana the shop portion has eight
floor space.,of the nine post-World War II buildings, which are annotated
on the accomyanying photograph and described in the key to annotations.

Table 1' gives dimensions, number of stories, roof cover, and
