sells quite cheaply, as the population fears confiscation of such material
by Communist authorities
The price of grain decreases as one goes farther north and east in Manchuria,

foodstuffs are plentiful at present. Source believes that the supp3y will
not last until the next harvest, however, as large amounts of grain and food-
