on the field. The landing area is 2,000 meters long and 18800
astern wide, covered with grass and in good condition. Two hangars
and two repair shops are in good shape.: Two underground gas tanks

t;o have a capacity of 50,000 liters each, but it Is not known if
they are being used. North of the field, on the road to Lenzen (T40),
noth fuel dump consists of some 150-200-liter drums and twelve

turned over for German emergency housing use - have been dismantled.
Approximately one battalion of troops stationed in the border area
was shifted to Lagendorf, Reddigaub and 118dderaen on 24 September.
5. Rock (V33): Artillery troops occupied the barracks in late
October, but there was no air activity and the former GAF test field
was not being used.
Quedlinbur (D35): This field is scheduled to be dismantled
completely, accordtnFrr to a source who visited this area between 15
and 30 October.
7., Erfurt (Pa3S): An Increase In air activity at the end of Octobor is
reno:ted. Formation flights of about thirty planes each, apparently
bombers, were seen.
8a Weimar (357): The former GAF field north of Weimar is now bets.g
used- for agricultural purposes. A new small airstrip (unlocated)
built by the Russians in 1945 is in use, but air activity, confined
to two or three biplanes, is negligible.
Cottbus (A57):
a) Large quantities of gasoline are being received at this field.
On 17 Octobers fifteen tank-care arrived; each is estimated to have

capable of supporting bombers. Eighteen 3L aircraft were observed

sGroyed, according to a 6 November report. Activities have been

Neurupptn. (Comment: probably refers to Nietwerder, Z49).

observed on 11 November included the dismantling of barracks and
hangars.
