The National Armaments Plant 4brojovka t Strakonice,? 110 km south of
Prague,in currently engaged in variety pycJuction, mainly of ?-.onsumer
%oodu for exportation.
The Ocrmaris had 7,0000 workers durima the war who wre proOucing small
arms and heavy machine guns. Currently there are 5,000 employees work-
ing in two shifl, per day. The principal production is 125 cc light
ai4gle cylinder motorcycle manufactured for export to the United jtat,,s.
The plant wia ship 21,000 units to the Lnite 3tats ae part of a
-,,arger contract divined amonp several Czechoslovhk plants. The current
AotorcycIe prodivItion is 1400 units per month. Uthor products incltde:
100,000 meters of bicycle chains pr month, 5,000 meters of motorcycle
chains pr month; milling machines and lathes are on order, as well as
various smll :Ar7,81 Including 579 mm pistols and hunting rifles.

with the United 3tato 3 and attempts to make his plant successful in order to
enhance his own chances to get a leadinl position in the Czechoslovak
industry, The research director is an enainier Vozenilekp 43 years old,
mA?Alluraist, 5_ non-CommuniAl who has been in 3trakonice for twelve years.
