The CIA /ORR program to code and store basic Soviet trade data in an IBM system has been continued, publications: At the request of the EIC, CIA has published, after pre-pub- lication review and comment by the Departments of State and Commerce, two studies on Trends in Soviet Foreign Trade. In December it is planned .=:o publish an Annex updating the details of commodity trade for 19640 During the first half of FY 1966, the subcommittee coordinated the trade :section of EFC-R16-S6., "International Trade and Transport of Communist China, 1964" (published annually) . Because of the open channels of communication that have been established in past years, an effective and harmonious system exists for coordinating intelligence on matters of mutual interest. These channels are used as needed with resulting benefits to all participating agencies.
