The Chairman announced that the Annual Report to the U5IB of the
Economic Intelligence Committee covering activities during Fiscal Year

that the EIC be retained. The members of the Committee expressed the
belief that the ETC mechanism continues to serve a useful function in the
interests of the intelligence community and the USIB.
