[ The director of the Aerial Phe-
nomena Research Organization
(APRO), a group dedicated to
scientific investigation of flying
saucers, said Friday night in
San Antonio "the more we know
about some specific UFO (uni-
dentified flying oject)Tcases, the
harder such cases are to explain
away."
The comment came from L. J.
Lorenzen, Tucson, Ariz., speak-
ing at a UFO seminar sponsored
by AFRO at Trinity University.
Lorenzen castigated the Air
Force and the Central Intellig-
ence Agency for "deception" in
reporting observed UFO cases
and said the subject of UFO's
has been "taken underground,
where the CIA eels it should
have been ong."
Lorenzen said the goal of the
APRO is "research and an
objective study."

"Sometimes," he added, "gov-
ernment reports leave out infor-
mation that would substantiate
the u n k n o w n nature of UFO
sightings."
Lorenzen discussed several
recent UFO sightings now under
APRO investigation.
Included is one report of a
"glowing disc" spotted .by- a
Kansas farmboy that left a pow-
dery deposit on the ground.
Lorenzen said no "current"

"But I'm sure," he said, "that
the Air Force is still investigat
ing such sightings as a matter of
national security."
