REMARKS: I,UZOH SITE 14 CAN BE COI,iFIRMED AS A SINGLE SOFT PAD WITH A CONFIGURATION AND ORIENTATION SIMILAR TO ONE-HALF OF LAUNCH SITE 11. SITE 11 -- APPROXIMATELY 34.; NM ENE OF THE TOWN OF PLESETSK. SITE 14 -- APPROXIMATELY 38 NM ENE OF PLESETSK. LAUNCH SITE 11 IS A. 2 PAD SOFT SITE. A POSSIBLE ERECTING MECHANISM IS LOCATED ON EACH PAD. PRIOR TO THIS MISSION IT COULD NOT BE DETERMINED WHETHER SITE 14 WAS HARD OR SOFT; HOWEVER, THE SIZE AND CONFIGURATION OF THE SITE WERE SUGGESTIVE OF A TYPE IIID SINGLE SILO. These notes have been prepared for briefing purposes only and should not be used for detailed analytical work. SUBSEQUENT COVERAGE: SITE 11 -- 3 KH-41 2 KH-7 AND 1 SITE 14 -- 3 KH-41 2 KH-7 AND 1 8. DIMENSIONS/ SPECIFICATIONS: 9. MISSION READOUT: LAUNCH SITE 11. ALTHOUGH A LAUNCH RING IS PRESENT ON THE RIGHT PAD AND POSSIBLE ERECTING MECHANISMS ARE VISIBLE ON BOTH PADS, CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY ALONG THE FRONT EDGE OF BOTH PADS INDICATES THEY ARE NOT COMPLETE AT THIS TIME. IT APPEARS THAT BOTH PADS ARE BEING EXTENDED. SEVERAL VEHICLES/PIECES OF EQUIPMENT ARE OBSERVED ON THE LEFT PAD AND ON THE PARKING APRON/HARDSTAND BEHIND THE PAD. LAUNCH SITE 14 CAN NOW BE CONFIRMED AS A SINGLE SOFT PAD WITH A CONFIGURATION AND ORIENTATION SIMILAR TO ONE-HALF OF LAUNCH SITE 11. THE ENTIRE LAUNCH AREA HAS BEEN GRADED, BUT DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN PAVED AS YET.
