SUBSEQUENT COVERAGE: LAUNCH GROUP "I" CONSISTS OF 7 SITES, 6 OF WHICH ARE TYPE IIIC LAUNCH SITES. SITE 17 IS OF UNDETER- MINED TYPE AND ITS OVERALL PATTERN DIFFERS FROM ANY OTHER KNOWN SITE. MISSION READOUT: AT LAUNCH GROUP "I", THE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED NEW LAUNCH SITE, 17, IS NOW PARTIALLY SECURED BY DOUBLE FENCING AND APPEARS TO CONSIST OF 3 TYPE IIIC "U"-SHAPED EXCAVATIONS LINED UP ON AN AXIS OF AP- THE 2 SOUTHERNMOST EXCAVATIONS CONTAIN CORINGS,25X AND THE THIRD NORTHERNMOST EXCAVATION CONTAINS AN UNIDENTIFIED CIRCULAR OBJECT. THE DIAMETER OF THE CORING IN THE CENTER EXCAVATION, WHICH IS THE MOST SHARPLY DEFINED, IS APPROXIMATELY SPACING BETWEEN THE 2 CORINGS, AND 25X1 BETWEEN THE CENTER CORING AND THE UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT IN THE NORTHERN EXCAVA- TION IS APPROXIMATELY 400 FT. THE 3 EXCAVATIONS MEASURE 80 X 120 FT, 85 X 110 FT, AND 90 X 110 FT. These notes have been prepared for briefing purposes only and should not be used for detailed analytical work.
