INITIAL IDENTIFICATION OF PRELIMINARY GRADING,
POSSIBLY FOR A PROBABLE ABM LAUNCH COMPLEX AT
MOSCOW SAM SITE E03-1.
PROBABLE ABM LAUNCH COMPLEXES WITH ASSOCIATED
ELECTRONIC FACILITIES (TRIADS) HAVE BEEN IDEN-
TIFIED UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT FIVE OTHER MOSCOW
SA-1 SITES (E05-1, E15-1, E24-1, E31-1, AND
E33-1).

MISSION PERMITS THE FIRST ABM ASSOCIATION OF
PART OF THE FACILITIES.

SPECIFICATIONS: NONE
REPRESENT THE PRELIMINARY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY FOR A PROBABLE ABM LAUNCH
COMPLEX. THE SCARRING CONSISTS OF 2 PARALLEL LINEAR TRACES THROUGH THE
WOODS PERPENDICULAR TO THE LONG AXIS OF THE SA-1 LAUNCH AREA, ON THE WEST
TRACE, WHICH IS THE MORE PROMINENT OF THE TWO, THERE IS ONE RECTANGULAR
CLEARING ALONG THE EAST SIDE NEAR THE SOUTH END, AND ANOTHER AT THE NORTH
END. NORTHEAST OF THE FIRST CLEARING THERE ARE SOME UNIDENTIFIED PIECES
OF EQUIPMENT/STRUCTURES IN A SMALLER CLEARING ADJACENT TO THE EASTERN
LINEAR TRACE.
THIS ACTIVITY IS APPARENTLY NOT ROAD-CONNECTED WITH SAM SITE E03-1,
BUT IS SERVED BY A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED BRANCH ROAD FROM THE HIGHWAY LEADING
TO THE ZAGORSK ROCKET ENGINE TEST FACILITY. A BUILDING IS UNDER CON-
STRUCTION OF THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BRANCH ROAD.

AREAS AT THE PROBABLE ABM LAUNCH COMPLEXES UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT MOSCOW SAM
SITES E05-1, E15-1, E24-1, E31-1, AND E33-1.
