THE WALLS ARE OF COMPACTED EARTH, 25X1 FACED WITH BRICK. WITHIN THE WALLS OF TARTAR CITY IS THE FORBIDDEN CITY. THE FORMER IM- PERIAL RESIDENCE AND SITE OF THE, THRONE HALL IS NOW A MUSEUM.
