D?tar Mr. DuAles:
I am Deputy Director of the Interplanetary Intelligence of tan-
identified Flying Objecte, an organization interested in a sciepti.
fic and objective study of unidoaatified flying objects (UFO), cgatan_
only known as "flying saucers", with an ultimate goal of deteraniiai-
ing their origin and nature.
Of late, many civilian UPO researchers have been alleging that
the Central Intelligence Agency has become involved in the subject
of "flying saucers". I shall now list several such allegations.
In the Kook Ft isa3 .au,~--.versa from Outer .S ace by Donald F4, eybo,
I quote from page 242:
"It'd another argument for slamming the lid down on saucer
stuff o
"You mean they've done that?w
"No, but the Central Intelligence Agency reccomonded it,"
said renvapdQ "pit least that's what I heard."
"flow did the CIA get into this?" I asked,
"The Air Porce gave some of their top men a secret briefine,
The CIA people advised them to put out a new report, debunk'-
.tang the saucers the way they did in '49 -- tell the public the
project was ended, and then carry it on underground, It'd
probably be top secret,'?
"They'd never get away with it -- not with all they've let
out: 8lOC7o "
i?I don't think they'll even try. Some of the Intelligence
boys were as mad as the dovil ,a,t CIA for even s?ggestiaag it.
Well, that's the picture. I thought you'd probably like to
etnnoc -~ it's turned into a Itnozkdovvn fight."
From the Saucerian Bulletin. paablishevi by 'ay Barker, lox 2228,
Clarkshurg, 1leot Virginia, Volume 3, Number 4, Issue #19. I quote
from Page 22, a letter from Richard Carl Ogden, 1233 9th Aver West,
Seattle 99, Washington, to ter, Darker:
"Anyhow, the FBI knows I have traced this whole plot to ~iuiqh
zip ucers to the Central Intelligence Agency, Consequent) e ,
it looks as if I will be getting a call tots week from govvk?,t-.
mean agents who will probably try to silence me."
From UzLnz Saucers, publiabed by Ray Palmer, Amherst, Wiseonein,
i
I.-;sue .1, FS.. . I quote from Pages 13-14, an article by Coroi
Lorenzen :
"Some of the individuals srrho

the Air Force (Edward Ruppelt and Albert Chop, for insta{ace) are
now on the outside and talking their heads off. But none of
thecae men have furnished the full answer, Why? Because ~- it
Beets that the Air Force has been playing 'patsy' for eleven
years to the Central Intelligence Agency. The men who work
for that department are the cream of the intelligence crop,
They don't transfer out of the service, and they are released
only by death. They don't talk.. ,they can't tabs... they've
been trained not to talks"
