SUBJECT: Report of the ADP Committee of OBI

1. The Committee met with DD/OBI, on
8 September 1966. The regular members now consist of - 25X1A9a

2. As requested by the Director, OBI, the Committee dis-
cussed the preparation of an Office response tom. It 25X1A9a
was decided that further guidance from DD/OCR, 25X1A9a
was needed regarding systems analysis and the roles played by
ORD, OCS, and OCR. In the interim, each division will submit a
brief statement of information processing problems to the Chairman
by 14 September. These will be amalgamated and sent to the Di-
rector, OBI, by 20 September.
25X1A9a 3. briefly explained the EPIC project
and showed samples of the different stages. Examples of other
publications employing punched paper tape and punchcards were also
shown.
4. The DDI Information Processing Committee requests all units
to note the five pertinent ADP courses offered by American University
in the Off-Campus Program. These appear on page 6 of the Headquarters
Employee Bulletin #109, 22 July 1966. Any questions on these courses
25X1A9a may be directed to extension 211+3. Also, it is to
be noted that OTR will o' er is Fall an ADP Orientation for users
up to Grade GS-12E. Each course will last from two to three days
and will be given once or twice per month depending on demand.
