All your questions about the Trends schedule are good ones --
Why FOIA and Privacy Act
? Can't we switch MAG and the DDO Panel
Can't we put EEO later in the week
it is my understanding that Mr. Blake asked for coverage on FOIA and the
Privacy Act. You may argue that in view of all the employee notices that have
come out obviously the participants should know what it's all about. I
have found this is not the case. This session has proved to be a stimulating
one and I recommend its continued inclusion.
The session with the MAG group was set in concrete back in October. The
group could not come Thursday evening when I originally wanted it. We
compromised on Wednesday.
Don't forget, all this scheduling is tentative and may be shot to pieces
when the speakers I want can't come. I originally wanted EEO later in the
STATINTL week, toward the end of the day. likes to use Thursday to prepare
for his meeting with the DCI the next day. However, a possible shift is
EEO and OMS.
I realize the Tuesday morning looks like a bust. I know it's terribly
loose and unstructured but I found during the last running that I was doing
some hand-holding and in general acting like a den mother for a lot of
bewildered Scouts.

Will be checking with ?QTR about MAG participation,
My own feeling is that would pro-
vide a better Thursday evening session than
a)/Security, but you have the feel of it better
than I.

STATINTL
Attached is a draft schedule for the next Trends, 17-20 Feb. I've
made a few modifications and have attached a copy of the last running for
your comparison.
1. Because of the lukewarm response to the ADMAG in December I did
not include them this time.
2. Rather than get two doctors from OMS as has been done in the past,
I'd like to shoot for the Director of Medical Services or his deputy. If
I can't get either, then I will revert to the panel or two. (Is there such
a thing as a panel o4 two??)
3. As something interesting and different I've put down the Director
of Security on the last night as an evening session.
4. John McMahon thought his session in the last Trends was flat as the e
were very few questions. To give him an idea of what the class has been Odb(i5c
and asking I want to break the class into teams the day before and have each
team come up with questions. I will edit and refine the questions before
giving them to either John or Jack.
In the precourse reading I would like to include the "History of the
DDA."
In view of the fact that I will be going on leave for two weeks, I'd
like to get this OKd ASAP so that I can start calling my speakers by the
beginning of next week.
