After reviewing the various systems, such as the i3S-p2~9 and 25X1 A
-other advanced HF systems9 it has been decided to ga ah with the
AS-12 as the most prc~ising at the present time. The ~..2 million
expenditure over the aext two years will take us through the service
test mocLel stage of the AS-Z2 and pr+~vide us with one complete base
system,
It was pointed out that R&D pragarams require I3i1/CI appvova't, per ~D/$
Administrative Instruction. No. 6~4-2 and that the brief descriptions of y
of the iteffis in the program are not aclequste far the review which is wade at
higher levels. It was ?also brought out that Hoch of the langus~e is considerably
mare techts~.cal than it need be thus mekirag it difficult to understand.
There being no SPS representatives present at the ~etLng the SPS portion
of the'gra~rem was Hat reviewed in detail.
