1. The C0*11 is the typewriter corer intended for use at
stations which have a median speed Staff emergency oostanications
capability. Oa prototype madnl of this coder bas been received
from the manufacturer; the A&A and the Operational valuation per-
formed on this unit indicates that it is an excellent device for its
intended usage.
2. The manufacturer advises that production models of
this coder will become available. 1W days after the contract is let.
Additionally, the manufacturer has submitted the following estimates
on unit cost:
In lots of 25: $2,x,79 ea.
In lots of 50: $1,769.82 ea.
In lots of 75: $1,583.20 ea.
3. The various eoenunieations operating divisions have
been polled concerning their probable requirements for CO-11 coders
for the period covering fiscal years 1964, 1565, and 1966 with the
following results:
ED - 8
MD - 12
APD - 3
ASD - 6
AND - .3
Total 32
4. Board approval for the purchase of 40 CO-11 emits
(including 8 for stock) is requested.
