a. In addition to a district komendatura, i?!alchin is occupied by approxi-
mately 100 motorized rifle troops who, together with 200 German, police,
were seen training with carbines and Soviet MGs.
b. According to the director of the telephone exchange, ;Jaren is held only
by komendatura troops,, The wooded area between 'darer and 1 alchin was re-
cently surveyed by tank officers.

Unoccupied. The former emergency airy ield has been destroyed.

e,, The artillery barracks and the airfield have been destroyed. The In-
ffanterie K-tserne is partly occupied by German civilians and alno serves
as a headquarters for the koYnendatura and an :111D detachment. Some mart
of this Kaasorne is also used b,r officers corking at the Primaburg m".ni-
tions plant situated betw?oen Gfistrow and Teterow. These officers use
motorcycles .0 00-71 to 76 and vehicle 4 15.18.

a.. The Karl Liebknecht Dockyards are guarded by Soviet 17s and motorized
Gernan police. These new yards are to extend south as far as the former
Heinkel compound between 14arnerrnde and Rostock. A. new railroad siding,
has been completed and a streetcar connection between the Heinkel corn-
pound and Rostock is under construction. A former German freighter of
15,,OOO tong and three German torpedo'boats are still under repair in the
port, A Soviet naval unit uses vehicles & 8-41-62 to 86,

services units on Egon Island. Source observed two engineer vehicles

Hafenkasernen s Partly used as billets for German rersonnel,
partly being dintled.
Rostocker Ch=aussee : Being partly dismantled.

Barth airfield and KZ barracks: Chiefly demolished, though some refugees
are still living in them. The airfield

Barracks on the Anklam highway have been destroyed. There are no troops in
this area.
