un to asn nn s ome. also donated 25X1
almost 200 pounds of food an clothing. The Office of
the Director of Logistics- also donated the residual of
their Christmas Party funds, $50.00, to St. Ann's.
5. Santa Claus was again impressed with the generosity
of the Agency employees. The Director or Deputy Directors
should take justifiable pride in this response when they
reflect on their tenure in the Agency. As a proponent of
MBO, Santa Claus attempted to record who gave what to
whom, but the generosity of the employees and the spirit
of the true Christmas kept Santa from being able to
accomplish this objective. As much as I would like to
thank every individual, it is impossible. I do feel
that I must call your attention to the fact that the
Office of Logistics, LSD/BSB supported this program with
over 160 man-hours of work in picking up from the collection
points every night and delivering the packed material to
the end-users. DDO/ISS/Analysis contributed over 50 man-
hours in the form of Santa's helpers who packed and sorted
clothing and toys. Special thanks also goes to those
members of the Agency who designed and printed the posters
and in general gave Santa the support and encouragement he
needed.
6. This was the second year that this Agency program
had gone "overt", in that most of the recipients actually
knew that the gifts originated from the people at "the CIA."

are that the program should be continued again next year.
7. My thanks to all and to all a very happy and
prosperous new year.

Deputy Director for Operations
SUBJECT Agency Christmas Charity Program
After Action Report
1. The following is the after action report of the 1975 Agency
Christmas Charity Program. This report was delayed due to the utter
fatigue of Santa Claus, the complexity of the long form income tax
report, and the slowness of the U.S. Mail Service in providing Santa
Class with reports from the end-users of his product. Santa Claus
is just now getting around to writing thank-you notes to all those
wonderful people who assisted him in the past year.
2. The donation rec of
the Headquarters Building the Key STATINTL
Building, the Printing Services Building, and an the O ice o Joint
Computer Services. These boxes produced a total of over 1,100 pounds
of food, 1,800 pounds of used clothing, 110 new stuffed animals, 680
new toys and games, 120 articles of new clothing and in excess of 1,900
used toys. In addition, one check in the amount of $652.65 was also
received.
3. The following groups and organizations were the primary
recipients of this year's program;
a. "S.O.M.E." (So Others May Eat), Washington, D.C.
b. "S.H.A.R.E.", Fairfax County/McLean, Virginia
c. Metropolitan Police Boys Club, Washington, D.C.
d. Salvation Army, Fairfax Virginia Corps

4. Over 60% of the used toys and games were donated to the USMC,
"Toys for Tots" at the Washington Navy Yard in the name of CIA. The
remaining toys and games were donated evenly to the above listed
organizations.
5. For the past four years, the Office of Security/SR & CR Branch
has maintained their own collection point and this year they gave Santa
Claus a check for $652.65 for Saint Ann's Infant and Maternity Home in
Hyattsville, Maryland. These funds were raised by this one office
through bake sales throughout the year.
6. This year's collection was an excellent example of the wonderful
spirit of the employees of this Agency. Santa Claus tried to keep book
on who gave what, but it is an impossible task when people show such a
generous outpouring of the spirit of sharing with their less fortunate
friends. As much as I would like to thank each individual - I cannot.
I do wish to make note of the special help I received from the various
components of the Agency, from the helpers in the Office of the DDA on
the seventh floor to the helpful elves at the North Loading Dock and
in Build-in Services Branch. A special thanks is given to my number
STATINTL one helper of DDO Services Staff, and the other
members of Group and Information Services Group
who decorated the boxes and helped in the sorting of the gifts.
7. This was the first year that this Agency program has gone
"overt", where the recipient actually knows that the gifts are coming
from the Central Intelligence Agency, and from the results I feel
that it should continue to be an overt program in the future.
S. My thanks to all and to all a good year. I will be back
next year.
