REMOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION D-94
1. (S/NOFORN) This report documents a remote viewing ses-
sion conducted in compliance with arequest for information
on a target of interest to INSCOM ITAC CRD.
2. (S/NOFORN) The remote viewer's impressions of the tar-
get are provided as raw intelligence data and, as such, have
not been subjected to any intermediate analysis, evaluation,
or collation. Interpretation and use of the information pro-
vided is the responsibility of the requestor.
3. (S/NOFORN) The protocol used for this session is detailed
in the document Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote
Viewing Protocol (S), undated.
4. (S/NOFORN) Following is a summary of the transcript
of the viewer's impressions during the remote viewing ses-
sion. At TAB A are drawings made by the remote viewer refer-
ence impressions of the target site. At TAB B is target
cuing information provided the remote viewer. At TAB C are
Control Analyst comments.

SG1A 1. (S/NOFORN) Source 27.5 reported the following general
descrintion of the vicinity of geographic coordinates
a. (S/NOFORN) A small city, population approximately
130,000, situated on the southeast shoreline of a body of water.
The small city has two distinct industrial areas; a small area
near the shoreline_involved in assembly type activities, and
a larget area in the southeast section dealing in foundary type
primary industrial activity.

b. (S/NOFORN) Source observed hills squared like dikes
in the area of the coastline, and a range of mountains to the
right.
c. (S/NOFORN) In the immediate area of the above geographic
coordinates, source 127.5 observed in the vicinity of the primary
industrial area four or five large buildings having a "quasi
military function", and two tall (smoke) stacks to the right.
Also observed were three -"loaf shaped" buildings fastened
together, which 'we're associated with a "zig-zag" pattern not
further described.
d. (S/NOFORN) At this location, source observed stacked
metal pipes in a corner of the "yard" which were described as
some kind of moulds. Inside the loaf shaped buildings were
giant drill presses and a furnace type heater to blow fire
on the tubes while the tubes were cut. Also observed within
these buildings was a carrier (vehicle) with tubes mounted
thereon.
e. (S/NOFORN) A large area next to the area having the
"loaf shaped" buildings WAS described as having a funny pattern
of dirt roads on hills. Heavy military vehicles were observed
to be traveling on the dirt roads, and the whole area was des-
cribed as consisting of different military areas.
2. (S/NOFORN) To the northeast of the city, source #27.5
observed a very distinct group of self-propelled (SP) guns.
These guns were pointing in a southeast direction. Source
described the activity in this area as being one of "light
military exercise activity" simulating armored conflict under
tactical nuclear conditions employing approximately three bat-
talions. Source selected a group of six SP guns on his own
discression and observed them periodically for the next nine
days, providing the following information:

a. (S/NOFORN) At 231300 October 1980, the SP guns were
observed in a convoy line in the company of at least one tank
retriever of a type similar to the US M-88. The convoy was
observed moving in a west-northwesterly direction after having
exited off of a highway type road. The convoy was moving very
slowly through a sparsely vegetated area having few trees and
(mostly) brown scrub brush. This area was also described as
being of "sandy" soil texture.
b. (S/NOFORN) At 261300 October 1980, the SP guns were
observed set up in a hidden side of a small "J" shaped hill
about 8 kilometers northeast of the city. The SP guns were
arranged in a "U" shape configuration in a depression in the
ground. The SP guns were conducting gun drills without the
firing of ammunition.
c. (S/NOFORN) At 291300 October 1980, the group of six
SP guns were observed to have split into three groups of two
vehicles each, and to have deployed slightly closer toward
the city from their 261300 October 1980 location. The three
groups of SP guns were located approximately 200 yards from
each other.
d. (S/NOFORN) At the single site observed in detail
(site #3, sketch #2, this report) on 291300 October 1980,
source observed empty 55 gallon drums next to the two vehicles.
Equipment was scattered to one side. Crewmen were observed
lounging and talking while laying on the backs of the vehicles.
They appeared to be "temporarily deployed" and "just lounging
around". Source #27.5 had a strong feeling that this presence
(ie, the deployment, etc.) constituted some sort of manipulative
move because of the apparent security precautions observed
(U/I type ground survei4-lance or other type radar), the pre-
sence of "live" ammunition, and the presence of fully armed
crew personnel. Source described the activity as being an
apparent show of force, but could not determine the cause(s)
of such a circumstance.
e. (S/NOFORN) Source examined the uniforms (sketch #1)
of the crewmen and the apparent leader of the group of six SP
guns. Personnel generally wore gray heavy canvas coveralls
with thick brown leather belt, "wrap around" buckle brown lea-
ther boots, and brown pile cap. The leader wore "old fashioned"
rounded corner dark brown garrison cap having black piping.
On his left collar he wore an insignia consisting of a "tree
branch" penetrated by a "spike". On his right collar he wore
two small petaled rosettes side by side, which possibly over-
lapped and partially hid a third rosette.

f. (S/NOFORN) At time of observation of 291300 October
1980, the leader's primary concerns were described as being:
(1) He did not want to be there, but being a profes-
sional military man he must "do it."
(2) He perceived that doing this military "show of
force" would be conducive to continued control; their own
control, "cleaning house, so to speak."
(3) He did not reAly think anything would occur, and
therefore thought it would be a waste of time.
(4) He was concerned with the dependability of the
other people he had with him, under these circumstances.
3. (S/NOFORN) Source #27.5 reported that 21 days after
his observation of the SP guns on 291300 October 1980, he
observed the personnel of the SP.gun unit departing the Area
ifil*hich the guns were located, but that he did not see the
guns themselves departing.
