SUMMARY ANALYSIS
REMOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION CCC 96
1. (S) This report documents a remote viewing session conducted in
compliance with a request for information on a target of interest to USI.
The purpose of the session was to provide information relevant to the
2. (S) The remote viewer's impressions of the target are provided as
raw intelligence data and as such have not been subjected to any intermediate
analysis, evaluation or collation. Interpretation and use of the information
provided is the responsibility of the requestor.
3. (S) The protocol used for this session is detailed in the document,
Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing Protocol (5), undated.
4. (S) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions during the
remote viewing session. At TAB A are drawings made by the remote viewer
reference his impressions of the target site. At TAB B is target cuing
information provided the remote'viewer. At TAB C is a map on which the viewer
has indicated his opinion of the target location. This opinion should be
considered separate from his remote viewing impressions as it is only an
analytical attempt by him to match RU perceived terrain features to a map,
ihe viewer was shown a map of the Mediterranean Sea only after he had finished
his remote viewing.

#14: This will be a remote viewing session for 6 May 1980.
Mission time is 1100 hours.
PAUSE
All right', #19.51 the time is now 11 o'clock. Your
mission for today is to locate Soviet Aircraft.
Relax now. Relax. Focus your attention.
PAUSE
+02 #19.5: My most immediate impression is that its not a brand
new aircraft. Its a . . . Its a small one.
With . . . square intakes. . . adjacent to the cockpit.
I'm also left with an impression that its upside down.
Missing . . . missing one of the wings. Appears to be
the left wing. Also, left with impression that the
importance of the aircraft is what it was carrying.
Its got some kind of new rocket its carrying.
Air-to-air type rocket. It was on a . . . on a mission
when it went down. Low level type mission. Flying a
flying a border on a low level type mission. I don't
. . . . I don't see Soviet markings on this aircraft but
I sense that it was manned by a Soviet pilot and . . .
had ? ? ? ?
PAUSE
+05 Arabic navigator or observer. . . type pilot. I think
it . . . it was flying a very low level border type
mission. Flying parallel to a border that ran East
somewhere between East North East and North East.
Where it runs backwards away from the Mediterranian .
I get an impression of a coastline - where this border
intersects coastline. Sort of making a . . . a upward
sweep like a right hand curve. I get low, low sections
of hills, covered with mostly scrub. Like scrub pine
type trees. I think the aircraft was probably flying
at about - top in altitude maybe 2000 feet. Obliquely
about 21/2 to 2 miles off the . . the . . Northeastern
border.
+07 That border has changed appearance. Its . . I think its
West Northwest running water, nor an East Northeast. I

Northwest. Coming around to the West when it lost
power and went down. At a place at about
approximately 8 miles out off the . . the land
where it meets the . . . the sea. And a 45 degree
angle from the border intersection of the Mediterranian.
PAUSE
+10 Its . . Trying to get a layout of the area. South of
the impact. See which country it is, but I can't . . .
When I . . pull back for altitude to . . . look at the
ground layout I get an impression that I . . . I'm
looking at the Coast of Turkey. I believe that was
the border it was flying. The Southern or South Western
edge of Turkey. Now I think thats about close to where
it went down.
I also sense there's two or three
ships already in the area.
? O.
. two or three
I get an impression that . . . there is a ship . . . .
50 kilometers or so due West of the impact zone.. I get
an impression its some kind of electronics surveillance
ship but its not a . . its not a Communist block ship
. . . it almost appears to be American made but its not
American ship either. Its got blue and white markings
_possibly an Israeli, somekind of Israeli electronic ship.
. . They. . if they have such a thing. I'd say 50 miles
or so due west of the impact area right now.
I don't know of anything else I can give on location.
Except . . perhaps . . angular sightings off the border
intersection of the Mediterranian and the
current Israeli ship position. There's two other ships
there but I don't . . . They're very light craft, possibly
some form of sailing craft. Fishing boats or something.
I'm looking for a . . . There's a . . Exactly due South
of the point of impact and a little bit to the left is a
what appears to be some kind of a ruin or something. An
old, very old fort or something built on a bluff. A white
cliff line. That may help in locating the . . . . impact
area.
The water is . . . fairly deep I would say in the neighbor-
hood of . . . 350-450 feet. And. . . That's all. That's
all I get.
PAUSE
+15 The aircract - neither the pilot or the observer survived
the crash. It was real quick. And the aircraft kind of
came apart a little bit when it hit the water.

#19.5: That's all I get.
#14: Okay. I would like you to look at and concentrate
very intensely on your angles and sitings and stuff
so you can remember those when you need to draw.
#19.5: Yeah. That's all . . That's about all there is there
is angles and sitings.
#14: I have no further questions at this time. Is there any-
thing else that you feel is important to add?
#19.5: Its not carrying Soviet markings.
#14: Can you describe any markings?
#19.5: That's what I'm trying to . . . .
PAUSE
It appears to be a grouping of stars over a moon or
something. I keep seeing like a scythe shape with a
. . no, not a cycle, but a half moon or quarter moon
with a very large star and possibly three smaller stars
grouped next to it. But I'm not sure. . . I'm not sure
that's clutter. Or its actually the marking. Its
just an impression I'm getting.
They're sort of a magenta color, purple. That's all.
#14: Could you describe the aircraft itself?
#19.5: Just that its got squared scoops along the side of the
fusalage and appears to be . . . twin engine. Its got
a figure eight exhaust and the tail tips back just a bit.
Outside of that, that's all I'm getting. Blocky looking
aircraft.
#14: I have no fdrther questions. We are now ready for
debrief.
#19.5: Okay.
Page 1 - will be my view, you better check the plugs
on the mike - will be my view of the aircraft as it
is lying right now. I am sort of seeing . .
this kind of a . . . . . This kind of an affair.
This being the seabed and the . . . the markings that
I'm perceiving are back here on the tail.
These front things being intakes. This wing is gone.
This being a figure . . eight exhaust type area.
And all I can perceive, okay, from . . I got an
impression, got an impression. . . First, I'll give you

the impression of the altitude it was . . which
the aircraft was flying. I got an impression of
hills like this. . which kind of went off into the
distance this way.
This dotted line being a border. And the aircraft
was. . . the solid line being the flight of the
aircraft going out over the Mediterranean and making
a left turn where it went down.
I went to a greater height to try to get an idea of
exactly where that is. And . . . I felt like I was
obliquely looking at a shore line that went like this.
This being a border and this being the point of impact.
The aircraft went down.
This being North so that aline drawn South wreck site
there was a point here where there were some kind of
ruins. I felt like this was Turkey.
And then. . . this over here was a . . . I don't know
how to spell Isreali - Isreali ship. These distances

were 8 miles out with the ruins there. If you were to
continue this border angle all the way out, I'd say
from their to the border would be about 2.5 miles and
from here to the ship is about 50 miles. And I don't
know if that helps. That's all I can get.
Ohl I'll do a better shot of the insignia on the
aircraft. Looking straight on at the insignia, this
would be if you looked at it right side up the way its
supposed to be --
I get this impression and its a magenta color - like a
deep purple color. And like I said, I'm not sure if
this is overlay or not. Its an impression I wasn't
looking for but I got.
#14: You mentioned something about air-to-air missile.
#19.5: Yeah, I just . . . there's just the impression I had
that there's some new form of armament that's of
interest on the aircraft, that's the only thing new
about it that I can see. I don't believe its a brand
new fighter bomber. Its. . . you know it would be like
the selling of one of our early F4 models to someone
and your not grading it later - that sort of affect.
You know, its definitely a Soviet aircraft. I don't
think its one of the newest ones. The only, I was
looking for something new and the only new thing that
I could come up with was the air-to-air missiles that
its carrying.

I don't know exactly. Its just an impression I
have. I also . . . would like to say that it is
very difficult to locate the aircraft because we
don't know what kind it is and there's a lot of air-
craft there. This is the newest one that I could
come up with.
#14: I have no further questions.
#6.5: Tell me more about why you sense, I think that was
your word, why you sense that the Soviets were manning
this one and there was someone else, tell me more
about that.
#19.5: Well, I just . . I see I see two bodies in the aircraft.
One of them is clearly a Soviet officer and the other is
clearly not a Soviet officer. And I am assuming that
the rear seated individual is not the pilot and if that's
the case, then the rear seated individual is the one who is
not a Soviet.
#6.5: Um hm. You felt that this water was fairly deep?
#19.5: Yeah. Its around 500 feet. 350-500 I would say.
less than 350.
PAUSE
#6.5: I'm still a little concerned that perhaps we might have
been able to . . if it was possible, to . . . . to . .
be a little bit more precise on how someone might find
this aircraft.
PAUSE
#19.5: It would appear to me, this is just an impression now,
that . . this is a commonly flown border mission.
I get a distinct imporession that the aircraft didn't
vary from a normal procedure that it always had done
before. Perhaps if any information has been gathered on
the actions of an aircraft flying with Southern Turkish
border where it does leave the coastline and make its
turn for return home, that superimposing that with the
information that I've given on the map, the coastline, I
think you might find the aircraft is . . ..perhaps a
half a mile south from where it should normally have turned.
Like it had started to turn early. I don't know of any
other way of providing the informaton.

#19.5: I don't see any oil spills - I'm looking for all
kinds of things that would indicate an aircraft
down and I don't . . I don't see gasoline residue
and I don't see oil slick, I don't see anything, just
black water. Depth of water might also have a -
that might be one section along that coastline where
it is abnormally deep as compared to other depth.
I don't get that impression. I get the impression
this is a slow continual basin type shelf. I don't
see any . I don't see any major underwater obstruc-
tions or anything like large sea mounds or . . or salt
deposits or anything. Matter of fact, I was getting an
impression of a very clear and clean area. That in
itself maybe of value. That's all I got really.
#6.5: Okay. Let me show you this map now that you've got
all that. This is EURASIA Map ASC-A, 1-A. Its
a US Air Force Aero Space Planninhart. Okay.
Okay.
Now looking at that Mediterranean area, there's a....can you
. . . pick out the spot that you think that you
were talking about.
#19.5: Hmmm. Very interesting.
PAUSE
I think right down in here. Near this word
Letakia (phonetic) or whatever it is, I think, I think,
probably they'll find a ruin of some sort, right up here
on this point of land...that word Letakia, and I think
it's right off of there.
#6.5: (Mumbling)any (mumbling) out
#19.5: About 8 miles out. I don't know what it is on the scale
of this map, but somewhere here.
#6.5: I'll xerox a copy of this map and put it in your report.
#19.5: I felt like there was an Isralia ship and an electronic
ship somewhere out in this area.
