SUBJECT: Assessment of Unconfirmed I
29 April 1980
1. (U) The following information applies:
a. (5) Source reports a heavy thick walled cement type of building located
on the edge of gcul.ley, on the side of a very craggy mou(Itain,
b. (S) He reported that at. the base of this precipice is a large rectangular
black hole or entrance way. Further out from this opening is a body of water,
salt water.
c. (S) Source states that while the entrance is above the water line, the
interior of the opening extends below the water line.
d. (S) Construction is reported as fairly primitive, with sortie attempt at
smoothing out the coiling and installation of numerous lighting fixtures.
e. (5) The interior is described as looking very much like a dry dock by
the subject: source. He stated that it appeared large enough to handle approx-
imately three or four large ships.
f. (5) Source also stated that the interior appeared to be flooded with
water,
2. (S) Request the above information be evaluated and comments be provided to
the undersigned no later than 14 May 1980, this will permit an evaluation
of the source for accuracy and information value provided.
