Dear Mr. Dulles:
Your exquisite luncheon and the
opportunity of talking with you and your leading
assistants was thoroughly delightful and most
beneficial.
Since my return to Pearl Sunday night,
I have had a long talk with Admiral Overesch
about matters concerning our cooperation with
C.I.A. work in the Pacific, and we are in
thorough agreement; I believe he feels as I do,
that there will be no lack of complete cooperation
between the Navy and C. I. A. everywhere within
my jurisdiction.
If any difficulties arise, Admiral
Oreresch and I will straighten them out with
satisfaction to both C.I.A. and the Navy.
It would be a great privilege to Mrs.
Stump and me to be able to have Mrs. Dulles and
you as our guests whenever you have an opportunity
to come through Pearl Harbor.
