[Text] The head of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics~ Mr Harvey Batee~ has re-
signed. in protest at the Federal Government's decision to order a police ln- ~
vestigation into his bureau's operations.

that a multi-million-dollar drug ring bought information from the bureau's
