1. The purpose of this trip was to run preliminary acceptance
tests on the AP-3 Analytical Plotter.
2. The materials used in performing this test were:
a. Panoramic photography from Mission G'1' 64-225 over Phoenix,
Arizona.
b. Terrestrial photography from the test materials in front
3. A relative and preliminary absolute orientation was made on
the Panoramic model. While setting up this model, a few errors were
discovered in the program. These corrections were made immediately
by the 0 oplee. The distance routine was checked in both the
5 micron and 1 micron accuracy modes. In both cases, all the dis-
tance checked within plus two percent. This we attributed to the
lack of true altitude of the aircraft and the lack of aircraft atti-
tude for this 112B Mission.
4. An attempt was made to set up the terrestrial model. Due
to the lack of a parallax routine to place in the computer, an ana-
lytical parallax solution couldn't be performed for this model. A
reiterative method of clearing parallax was attempted) but there
wasn't enough time to complete this test. Therefore, this test will
be completed when the instrument is set up in NPIC.
5. Delivery of the Anamorphie Optics and the Beaver Ball Screws
are behind schedule. These will be retrofit in NPIC instead of
delaying delivery of the instrument while awaiting delivery of the
Anamorphics and the Ball screws.

6. Upon completion of the evaluation test, told
to go ahead and ship the AP-3. The tentative pick-up date
for shipment to NPIC is 28 September 1966.
