SUBJECT Poor Illuminance from Modified Tri Simplex Projectors
1. The recently modified iI Tri Simplex Projectors have been used
and the illuminated area at e base of the projector is very small.
Prior to modification, the entire area within the U-shaped base was
illuminated and all of the projected imagery could be clearly dis-
cerned and copied. Clearly projected and well illuminated imagery
now occurs in only a 3-4 inch diameter area.
2. It is requested that the Plans and Development Staff investigate
the cause of restricted projection and resolve this problem so that the
image projected is equivalent to that prior to modification.
3. If it is necessary to experiment with one of these instruments,
the PAG will provide one for your use.
4. Your earliest attention to this problem would be appreciated.
