TOP SECRET NPIC/R-503/64 PREFACE This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and logistic installations being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center IPIc (DIA). The photographic,analysis for_this particular re- port was performed by the NPIg Photographic Analysis Group. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. LOCATION OF ORANCHITSY PETROLEUM STORAGE. - 2 - TOP SECRET 25X1 25X1 25X1 TOP SECRET SUMMARY The Oranchitsy Petroleum Storage Area is located on the south-west edge of Oranchitsy (52- 28N 024-31E) and 11 kilometers (km) south- southeast of Pruzhany (52-33N 024-28E) on the south side of the Brest-Ivantsevichi rail line (Figure 1). The area is served by a spur from The rail line and has all-weather road connec- tions to Pruzhany. The Pruzhany Army Bar- racks Slobodka (AL-1) is located 7 km north of this area. G?neral Storage Area Area E contains five storage buildings and one administration building. One of the storage buildings and the administration building have 25X1 - been added since I [overage, and one storage building under construction in has been completed. POL Storag? Areas Area GI contains 24 vertical, semiburied tanks, 75 feet in diameter, 14 of which have 5X1 been added since Area G2 contains seven probable semi- buried POL tanks with rectangular covers, five of which appear to be interconnected by pipes. These tanks were first observed on coverage. Four of the covers are 120 by 120 feet, one is 160 by 135 feet, one is 160 by 105 feet, and one is 150 by 60 feet. Between GI and G2 is an open area, pos- sibly for storage of oil drums. Numerous horizontal POL tanks visible on coverage were not observed on subsequent coverage.
