REFERENCE . Requirement
NPIC Project o.
1. The referenced requirement called for a search of the best availa-
ble photography in order to confirm the existence of PVO direction-finding
(DF)/intercept sites at Bolshaya Izhora (59-56N 029-39E) and Vsevolozhskiy
(6o-oiN 030-39E).
2. A FIX 24 DF/intercept'site is 2 nautical miles south of Bolshaya
Izhora at 59-54-05N 029-33-10E. The facility consists of a FIX 24 high-
frequency DF radar, a possible 2-2 fishbone antenna, four probable horizontal
dipole antennas, and a support area. (This facility, previously reported as
NPIC target was deleted from the NPIC target brief files but is
currently being reactivated.)
3. A 10-nautical-mile-radius search was made around Vsevolozhskiy with
negative results. NPIC will report by OAK or cable, as appropriate, any DF
facilities observed on future photographic coverage of the referenced area.
