SUBJECT: Your Appearance Before. the Central Missouri
Press Association (CEMO), 25-27 May
1. Attached is a proposed itinerary for your appearance as the
main speaker at the annual meeting of the Central Missouri Press
Association in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, on the weekend of
25-27 May. Dparture time on Sunday is very loose now and is at your
option.
2. CEMO is the oldest regional press organization in Missouri
with a membership of 60 daily and weekly papers. Two hundred working
press and spouses are expected to attend the annual meeting. The
dinner is a steak cookout--very casual, sport shirt or sport coat.
3. The local media has requsted a press conference. We can
schedule it anytime on Saturday--either at 1130 before lunch or at
1300 right after. I would think 1130 would be preferred by all. The
local television and newspapers are expected to be present. Dalton
Wright, President of CEMO, has invited representatives from Kansas
City and St. Louis media to attend.
