1. Commendations/Letters of Appreciation
a. Mr. Lundahl commented briefly on the briefing given for Secretary
of State Rogers on Monday, 14 September. The DDI commended NPIC for its
presentation. Mr. Lundahl stated that all involved were to be commended
for their support in this effort.
b. Mr. Lundahl read a memo from Chief, Special
Operations Division, DDP, which expresse appreciation to the personnel of
the NPIC Model Shop for their production of a scale model recently on a
priority basis.
c. Mr. Lundahl commented on a letter received from the
Director of Personnel, which expressed his thanks for a picture sent to him
of the NPIC Awards Ceremony.
d. Mr. Lundahl read a letter from
Washington, which expressed
appreciation to and his staff for the briefing given to
him on 15 September.
2. Events of the Past Week

3. Executive Council Meeting Notes
Mr. Lundahl reported on items of interest from the Executive Council
Meetings of 15 and 18 September 1970. Of particular note were the
following:
a-L _J the DDI, reported on the briefing for
Secretary of State Rogers.
b. The DDI commented on HN 10-82, dated 11 September 1970,
"Risk of Hijacking in Commercial Air Travel Abroad." The ban
on domestic air travel has been lifted.
c. The Executive Council Meeting for Tuesday, 22 September
1970 has been cancelled. s briefing Project Useful.
4. Upcoming Events
a. Monday, 21 September, 1030 - Mr. Lundahl to brief
President's Scientific Advisor.
b. Monday, 21 September, 1530 - Mr. Lundahl to meet with a group of
NIC analysts in his office.
c. Tuesday, 22 September, 0900 - Mr. Lundahl will address the Mid-
career Course in the Main Auditorium.
d. Tuesday, 22 September, 1500 will address the Project
Useful group at Headquarters.
e. Wednesday, 23 September, 1400 - Mr. Lundahl to visit PhD/IEG.
