The Krasnokamsk Petroleum Refinery is located-on thenorrh bank of the
Kama River in the south-central part. of Krasnokamsk, Figures Land 2. The
approximate center of the refine-ry, which occupied an area of about 260
acres,, is `located at geographic coordinates 58 04-N 55 47E. The refinery
area is separated from the large adjacent pulp/cellulose paper plant by a
fence or wall; the remainder 'of the area may be enclosed b wire'fencing.
A spur-from the railroad that links Perm and Kirov passes just north of
the refinery.

The small scale of available photography does not permit the identifi
cation of the processing equipment present irr the Krasnokamsk Refinery.
Pik stills and one or mare thermal cracking units represent the best,
po`~ibilities judging from what can ".be seem on the coverage,
Figure 5.

The remainder of the facilities in the refinery area consist of a
number of.buildings in.the NE corner and along the north boundary.- A
small group of structures immediately north of item 5 may be-a small
processing facility, the nature of which is not evident.,
A small tank'#as-IQW of the refinery and adjacent to the 'rail line
may constitute a transfer point for the refinery's products.
No significant construction activity can be observed during the
period for which thotographic-cove rage is avail.ble;
