Other work to check over optics remains to be done in a service cell. I103 Customer has informed us of repeated failures in scanning drive with relation to length of "on" time where acceptable operation after 3 to 4 hours of "warm up". Other times instrument required no such preparation for use. A service call will be made early in December to trace this problem out. 104 STAT Work has advanced on image alternator, film drive and system adjustment and debugging. Image alternator is wored and electrically operable. Wires for power input have to be installed into existing harness and transformer supplying power has to-be installed. Detailing of film drive components has been nearly com- pleted with many parts already for assembly. Electrical harness conversion is underway t6 being power into film drive motor amplif- iers and to writing. The electrical work will continue during December as well as other system electrical work in scanning drive.
