A NEW PROBABLE SSM LAUNCH AREA (F) IN A MID-
STAGE OF CONSTRUCTION IS LOCATED AT 62-51N 040-42E,
3.5 NM SSE OF THE COMPLEX SUPPORT FACILITY. IN
CONFIGURATION AND PAD SEPARATION IT RESEMBLES LAUNCH
SITE 5C1 AT KAPUSTIN YAR. THE PADS DO NOT YET APPEAR
TO BE SURFACED. A MEDIUM-SIZED BUILDING WITH A
RAISED ROOF AT ONE END IS INBOARD OF EACH PAD AND
SEPARATED FROM IT BY A LINEAR REVETMENT. THESE 2
BUILDINGS ARE CONNECTED BY CROSS-SHAPED SCARRING TO A
THIRD BUILDING MIDWAY BETWEEN THE PADS. A POSSIBLE
CHECK-OUT OR MISSILE READY BUILDING AND ONE OTHER
SMALL BUILDING ARE ACROSS THE ACCESS ROAD TO THE WEST
OF THE SITE. THE SITE DOES NOT YET APPEAR TO BE
COMPLETELY FENCED.
PRESENT ON MISSION
A SITE SUPPORT FACILITY CONSISTING OF 3 BARRACKS-TYPE
BUILDINGS AND 3 VERY SMALL STRUCTURES IS LOCATED
ABOUT 4,200 FT SW OF THE SITE. THE ACTIVITY WAS NOT
THE RAIL-TO-ROAD TRANSFER POINT, ADMINISTRATION
AND HOUSING AREA, UNDERGROUND STORAGE AREAS, LAUNCH
POINTS I-IV AND LAUNCH AREAS A (SITE 4), B (SITE 5),
