I his report is one in a series on soviet Ground Force and logistic
installations being prepared for a I)I:A,-C1:A Panel. 1he series is being
coordinated, published and disseminated by \PIC. The photographic
analysis is being performed) by the \FIC Yhc3togrEt-Nh-ic--r\tTcaly--is .Group;
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (\PlC), and the Production
Center IPlc (DI A). the photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
app_~aring in the project requirement. A\hen a specific facility is not
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report.

Minsk Armv Barracks l'ruchve is located
11 kilometers km) northeast of Minsk ';3-';4\
027-35E), north of the Minsk-Borisov rail line
and on both sides of the Minsk-Moscow highway
('Figure 1). The installation is served by a spur
from the Minsk-Borisov rail line. Roadservice
includes the Minsk-Moscow highway and several
good all-weather roads. Other military installa-
tions in the area include the Minsk Army Bar-
racks Kalinina located im-
mediately east-northeast of the installation and
the adjacent Minsk Military Training Area "TA-
1), which is associated with both of these in-
stallations.
This installation (Figures 2 and 3) covers
approximately 2,200 acres and includes 15 ad-
ministration buildings, 52 barracks, Q2 storage
buildings, 64 support buildings, 6-5 probable
dependent quarters, a secured transformer sub-
station with a control building, and five equip-
ment storage 'maintenance areas containing 21
vehicle storage maintenance buildings and eight
vehicle parks. Training facilities within this
installation include a wheeled-vehicle driver
training-area, nine small arms firing ranges,

Railroad Service
This installation is served by a spur from
the Minsk=Horisov rail line. The spur forms
two tracks leading into a secured storage area
containing two buildings. Two possible rail-end
loading or unloading docks are present at the end
of the tracks.
Road Service
The Minsk-`,Ioscow highway through this
area and several all-weather roads serve this
installation.
Administrative and Troop Housing Areas
Area 1?l contains one administration build-
ing, 16 barracks, five storage buildings, and
three support buildings. One barracks and three

maintenance area, contains two 240- by 70-t6ot
vehicle storage 'maintenance buildings, one 220-
bv 45-foot vehicle shed, one 120- by 45-foot
vehicle shed, and one 1,150 by 300-foot motor
pool. Several rows of vehicles are parked
throughout the area.
Area J5 contains one 225- by 85-foot ve-
hicle storage 'maintenance building, one 120-
by 60-foot vehicle storage maintenance building,
and two vehicle narks, each 240 by 120 feet.
Athletic Fields
Three athletic fields ~K) are located at this
installation. The field in the southwest section
of the installation was first observed on
-coverace. All three fields are active.
