analysis is being pct-formed by the Nl'IC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center 1Plc (1)IA w 1-he photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the NPI(: I'hoto,raphic Analysis Group.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations arc identical with those
appearing in the project reduirenaent. A\hen a specific facility is not
observed both it, title and letter designator are omitted in the report.
Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as

TOP SECRET CHESS RUFF
- - These two rail-served installations are
located on the southern edge of Borisov(54-15N
28-30E). The POL storage area is immediately
north of the supply depot (Figure 1). Both
areas are on the north side of the Moscow-
Minsk rail line. The Borisov-Minsk highway
is about 1.5 kilometers (km) northwest of the
two areas. Several all-weather roads serve
the areas. Borisov Army Barracks and Maneu-
ver Area West (AL-1, TA-1) is 2.9 km north-
west of the POL storage area and 3.6 km north-
west of the supply depot. Goodall - weather roads
connect both installations to the above military
installations.
The POL storage area, which is secured,
covers approximately iS acres and includes one
.administration building, two storage buildings,
and 20 vertical POL storage tanks (Figures 2
and 3). The supply depot covers approximately
85 acres and includes 50 storage buildings.
DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION
Railroad Service
Two spurs from the double-track 'Moscow-
Minsk rail line serve the supply depot and one
spur serves the POL storage area. Small scale
photography precludes identification of trcck-
side and rail-end docks.
Road Service
Poth installations are served by -No all-
weather roads connecting with the Borisov-
Minsk Highway 1.5 km to the north
