FBI Reportedly Has Identified Several Associates of',Jailed Suspect
Associated Fress
NEW YORK, March 8-More
search warrants, and possibly more
arrest warrants, could be issued
this week in the World Trade Cen-
ter bombing investigation, an FBI
spokesman said today.
A federal law enforcement
source said investigators also have
identified several associates of Mo-
hammed A. Salameh, 25, being held
without bail on charges that he
helped to bomb the trade center
I eb. 2G.
"We hope these people will be able
to provide us with information on
Salameh and perhaps lead us to oth-
ers as well," said the source, who
spoke on condition of anonymity.
James Fox, assistant director in
charge of the New York FBI office,
said he expected more search war-
rants and possibly more arrest war-
rants to be issued. But he would not
elaborate.

assaulting two FBI agents when
they raided his Brooklyn apartment.
Salameh listed Elgabrowny's ad-
dress on a rental application for a
van thought to have been used in
the bombing.

ter continued to inch into the five-
story-deep blast crater.
But it will be at least 25 days be-
fore workers remove 2,500 tons of
debris and reach the bottom of the
crater, said Gene Fasullo, an engi-
neer with the Port Authority of
New York and New Jersey, which
owns the trade center.
