small opaque envelope which had been prepared for H i m by hand
lettering the words, "Project "M", (the fYi:i.so:i.c::)n reference r1aim1F

across the front of the envelope. Additionally the envelope had
t.:h'1c:: words, "Tasking :11" written below the project number,
this project
indicating that this was the initial tasking o . . . . . . . . . . . . 1
provided to Source. (i small notation, "Date Duo 1: 3 April 19B7"
was lettered in the lower right hand corner of the face of the
envelope. Sealed inside the envelope was a small sheet of notebook
paper on which was written the following 'lass::>k::i ng e "Tasking #:L '??? Describe the vehicle(s) as 182478/836131". On 3 Apri1. .I.''8/Y, as
indicated, Source provided the written results of H i s impressions
on this tasking. After a review of these results, it was decided
to provide Source with another sealed tasking envelope which
modified 't.h1e original ?t.allI:::i.ng to r'?eadli "Tasking kha.`. "?'? Describe the
vehicle(s) of special intelligence interest at 182478/836131.''
Source responded on (?lpr..:i.:l. 1987, with a written summary of His

advised to retain the same sealed tasking since, "your written
responses were in some way correct but in other ways somewhat
ambiguous." The results of t h i s second tasking of the same sealed
