SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
President Bush will announce on the evening of 14 January
1991 that there will not be a war with Iraq. The reason being
that Huessin will verbally agree to some type of negotiation or
settlement. Although Huessin will continue to keep his troops in
Kuwait and peace will not be immediately at hand, there will be
more positive moves to end this tense situation.
Huessin will eventually remove his troops from Kuwait within
the next two months. He will not remove them all at once but will
do so in a rotational manner. One of the stipulations in the
negotiations agreements is that the old regime of Kuwait will not
return to power. This will be carried out.
Although there will not be a all-out war, there may be a
small skirmish on water. This will occur on southern waters.
The Middle East situation will continue to be intense and the
'Yemans may be a source of trouble for United States interests in
the very near future.
There will not be any terrorist attacks in the United States
due to this situation.
