OSI REQUIREMENT NO: HTA/SI/R5/56: Determine if any ships in the Ventspils Naval
Base in Latvia have an unusual hull or superstructure design.
Photography covering the entire port of Ventspils, reportedly the third
largest in Latvia, was searched, but no ships with an unusual hull or super-
structure were seen.
Present in the port were approximately 10 small cargo vessels (less than
250' long), a 220' submarine, and a few small naval patrol craft.
