US Air Target Chart, Series 1.00, Sheet 0165-9998-100A, 2d ed, Sep 53, scale 1:100,000 (S) AMS, Series N 501, Sheet NN 39-8, 3d ed, Oct 57, scale 1:250,000 (U) REMARKS- A probable radio beacon is located at the northwest edge of Novo- semeykirso, USSR, 14 nautical miles north-northeast of Kuybyshev, at 53?2.3?'1 /50?2O1E. The station contains 3 large buildings probably housing transmitters, 4 cooling ponds, several smaller buildings, four 615-foot self-supporting towers positioned to foam a 275-foot square (tower group A, on the accompanying illustration), four 350-foot self- supporting towers positioned to form a 190-foot square (tower group B) 2 probable self-supporting towers, numerous stick masts, and Z double rhombic antennas (items I and 2) o A possible dissipation line within each of the rhombics indicates a transmitting capability.
