TASK: (7 Feb 90) Determine the current location of a
target vessel identified as Determine
the destination of contraband in the form of
ille al drugs. Determine the meaning of the code
name SG1A
REPLY: Results indicate the vessel's current location at
about 30?N/10?W. The vessel's route of travel was
from south to north along the California coast.
Mendocino and Point Gabrillo were singled out as
points of particular interest.. Possible delivery
areas were identified as points immediately south
of Eureka, CA, Point Delgada, CA, and Bodega, CA.

REPLY: Findings indicate the presence of a grey motorized
vessel possibly equipped with cranes. Both mild
drugs and strong drugs appeared involved. The
contraband was stored slightly forward of amidship
on the port side; no extraordinary concealment
measures taken.
ACTION: No action taken.

Paint not new; paint chipped.
Moist, packable powder, dark honey brown In color; consistency
light brown sugar
Packaged at 2 locations. Smaller amount In several portions
wrapped In light brown paper, contained in clear, "Zip-Lock"-
type bags (briefcase size In volume). Larger amount sealed in
"doubly curved" encasement "black straps."
Location: Smaller amount below cabins In superstructure "display
sample" room with wooden door. Large volume forward of midship,
slightly lower than mldline of ship, close to right side (from
front).

1. Slow, chunky freighter; old, rusty, brown In front, cargo
hold-over It a flat, square object that disappeared In off
loading.
2. Contraband - in large "cement" bags (?) set out on dock when
off-loaded filled with fine, powdery substance. Treated as
perfect legal cargo.
3. Carried In cargo hold on flats. Bags have black and yellow
label; either square or diamond shaped.
4. Details SC;leration:
Location of At present time, between Central America
and Canadian border west of U.S. In general area of recent oil
spill (off Southern California).
Worked as a monitor - contaminated; broke off session.
1st session w/011 - lots of construction (in other building).
