O.C. 20301-6111 Date: 19 June 1987 MEMORANDUM FOR ASSISTANT DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL INTELLIGENCE SUBJECT: SUN STREAK Interim Operational Report - Project 8708 (U) 1. (S/NF/WN) Source 003 provided the following intelligence information obtained during the course of two remote viewing sessions. 2. (S/NF/WN) The target item was perceived as cone-shaped, rounded, ridged component, a converter type apparatus further described as long, silvery, and delicate. Precautionary measures were taken to ' bt.ect the object from environmental fftpck. As an added peculiaV'ity, the item appeared covered with a synthetic, resilient material having the properties of teflon. 3. (S/NF/WN) The target item is functionally designed in four distinct portions: A Thinking Part; An Adjusting Part; An Operational Part (with battery and motor); and the Payload. A bipod/tripod apparatus (with stabilizers) is activated in the flight mode. It f~+nCtion ,~. _a_..result of small. rhythmic psati_ons. It is conceptually associated with a launching vehicle, a trajectory and a designated point of impact that reef-a in a flash_o#light, heat, and concussion. The item is one of not more than three in existence gout the world. Current procedures provide fcLrits removal f G gLage, transportation to an assembly/test area, and its launching and subsequent evaluation. At TAB A is Source's subsequent sketch of the item drawn in three main sections: The first section is described as being relatively passive in nature and simply "goes along for the ride"; the second section is complex and involves an intricate composite of wires with power and metering devices - it busily controls and monitors; the third section is limited to the accomplishment of one or two functions. It is highly dependent on the second section.
