This report is a partial answer to DIA re-
quirement DIAXX 63-84, to verify the location
of selected military installations in Hungary,
and to perform a photo analysis of these instal-
lations to determine function, number and di-
mensions of buildings, to estimate troop capac-
ity, to identify and describe related training
areas and facilities, and to confirm or negate
ammunition and POL storage. This report cov-
ers a specific military installation in the Tab
area.
TALENT photography of ~was used
to determine dimensions and functions of build-
ings. KEYHOLE photography of
confirmed the location of this installation; how-
ever, due to poor photo quality, no additional
information could be obtained from KEYHOLE
photography.
The installation described below appears
on Figure 1.

Troop Capacity: 1,724*
This rail-served military installation lo-
cated 2 miles east of Tab covers 50 acres and
contains:
1 probable two-story barracks building,
180 by 50 feet
2 probable two-story barracks buildings,
each 175 by 30 feet
*Troop capacity is computed on a basis of 50 square feet of
space per man.
1 probable two-story barracks building,
150 by 50 feet
1 T-shaped probable two-story barracks
building, one section 80 by 35 and the
other section 70 by 50 feet
2 probable two-story barracks buildings,
each 70 by 70 feet, a total for the seven
barracks buildings of 86,200 square feet
of floor space
2 administration buildings, 1 three-story
380 by 50 feet and 1 two-story 165 by 70
feet, a total of 80,100 square feet
9 storage buildings ranging from 215 by
80 to 30 by 15 feet, a total of 82,500
square feet
5 vehicle sheds ranging from 480 by 30 to
330 by 70 feet
14 miscellaneous support buildings ranging
from 215 by 30 to 20 by 20 feet
no observed ammunition or POL storage.
A training and storage area covering 4.5
acres is located 4,100 feet west of the above
installation and contains:
1 firing range, 350 by 70 feet
2 revetted ammunition storage buildings,
70 by 20 feet and 15 by 15 feet, a total
of 1,625 square feet
5 storage buildings ranging from 135 by
30 to 80 by 30 feet, a total of 18,600
square feet
4 miscellaneous support buildings ranging
from 50 by 50 to 15 by 15 feet.
No training area was observed east of the
installation.
