This report is a partial answer to DIA
requirement DIAXX 63-84, to verify the lo-
cation of selected military installations to de-
termine function, number and dimensions of
buildings, to estimate troop capacity, to iden-
tify and describe related training areas and
facilities, and to confirm or negate ammunition
or POL storage.
Photographic coverage is available on only
four of the military installations in the area.
The three barracks areas of the four installa-
tions have a combined troop capacity of 7,478.*
was used for
analysis. 0 photography was examined
but poor quality and weather conditions pre-
clude interpretation.
The installations described below are shown
in Figures 1, 2, and 3.

This military installation located in the east
section of Budapest covers 32 acres and contains:
2 two-story probable barracks buildings,
each 360 by 70 feet, a total of 100,800
square feet
2 two-story probable administration build-
ings, 120 by 50 and 60 by 50 feet, a total
of 18,000 square feet
*Troop capacity is computed on a basis of 50 square feet
of space per man.
5 miscellaneous support buildings, two 160
by 50 and three 100 by 50 feet
no observed ammunition or POL facilities.

Vecses Airfield covers 113 acres and contains:
2 three-story barracks buildings, each 240
by 60 feet
2 two-story barracks buildings, one 245 by
35 and one 165 by 55 feet
5 one-story barracks buildings, two 165 by
55, one 140 by 50, and two 125 by 50 feet,
a total for the nine barracks buildings of
159,350 square feet of floor space
I H-shaped administration building, the
single-story base 110 by 75 feet, the
three-story wing 310 by 60 feet, and the
one-story wing 225 by 45 feet, a total of
74,175 square feet
3 storage buildings ranging from 180 by 70
to 125 by 65 feet, a total of 28,850
square feet
16 miscellaneous support buildings ranging
from 110 by 55 to 20 by 20 feet
a training area with a small arms firing
range 390 by 35 feet
no observed ammunition or POL facilities.

and contains:

4 single-story barracks buildings, one 130
by 50 and three 150 by 55 feet, a total for
the six barracks buildings of 113,750
square feet of floor space
1 H-shaped administration building, the
single-story base 95 by 80 feet, a three-
story wing 320 by 65 feet, and a single-
