SUBJECT: CENTER LANE Interview Summary - CL-1005/8305/01 (U)
1. (S/NOFORN) On 130900 April 1983, source #O1 was
interviewed by #66 in an attempt to determine the location of a
specific item during the time window 15 - 18 April 1983.
Source was questioned concerning an area designated by the
project 8305 sponsor as being a suspected location for the
specific item. The project $305 sponsor had provided the name
of the suspected location and the nomenclature of the specific
item (see Incl 1).

envelope containing the name of the suspected location and the
nomenclature of the item in question. Source was asked to
focus his attention on the location designated in the sealed
envelope and describe the area ~s of the time window of 15 - 18
April 1983. Source was not told the name of the designated
location, the nomenclature of the specific item, or given any
other identifying data. The collection plan called for the use
of this information as "feedback" and cuing material for
possible subsequent interviews.
3. (U) A transcript of tYie interview was prepared including a
narrative explanation of the drawings which source provided
(see Incl 2).
4. (U) A DA Form 341 (Agent Report) was prepared for the
sponsor. This report related the salient points of the
interview. Attached as an exhibit to the DA Form 341 was a
copy of source's drawings (see Incl 3).

focus this concentration, this awareness on the
location designated in the sealed envelope I've
provided. Move now this awareness, this focus, move
your awareness to a location, move through space and
time to the location, 15 through 18 April, 15
through 18 April, awareness only of this area and
this time. Describe your perceptions to me.
#O1; ......I got a compound...it's a fenced compound....
hmm, impression of a...wide, flat roof building.
It's very long. inside another fence....Fences are
concertina wire rolled out.....See rows of, looks
like, heavy tanks parked in rows.
#66: Stop. Describe to me your relative position as you
perceive this area.
#O1: I just came through a gate. And it's on my left
this parking lot. It's like a fence inside a fence,
inside a compound.
#66: Go on.
#O1: Get an impression of lots of canvas and wood
framings, it's more of a semipermanent type thing.
#66: Te11 me more about the tanks.
#Ol: Ah..these..very big..parked in rows, got a...turrets
look like large shells...of turtles, narrow nose on
turret, very flat thick area in the back. It's like
a...some kind of grid or grill on top of the back.
There's a big gun....hmm...just a minute.
#66: I will wait.
#O1: ..There's some kind of tube, an encasement type of
thing down the side..all fastened in the same
place...got a....double hatch, one center forward
and..one rear right. Inside's cut up into three
compartments....Just a minute............Get a
perception of same kind of detachable travel fuel
tank..for longer range. These are covered with
a...these tanks are covered with some kind of..okra
colored dust, but they're a--new

you're talking about a vehicle called a tank, I
don't understand.

#66: All right. Is the fuel tank new or is the vehicle

#66: Obtain compound perspective as opposed to a singular
tank perspective and tell me when you're ready.
#O1: Okay, just a minute......Okay.
#66: All right. Now, the number of tanks is perceptible.
#O1: Just a minute......Fours rows of 18......very neat
rows..it's spaced between first 9 and the second 9.
#66: Differences or similarities are perceptible.
#O1: All"cutsouts", they're all the same. Look like
a..ducks in a row. Just don't see any difference.
#66: I understand. Now, time is perceptible.
#O1: Sun's at a..17 April. Everything's reddish color,
the sun's very low, to the west.
#G6: All right. Prepare yourself now for movement within
this area.
#Ol: Okay.
#66: Up 50 feet, up 100 feet, up 200 feet, 500 feet,
1,000, look down and describe.
#Ol: Compound is an odd shape, nestled in some scrubby
hills. Everything seems to be red oak or scrub
brush, minimal trees, almost a desert type feeling,
more gravel, hard pack. Feel like I'm..some...feel
like I'm somewhere east, northeast of a border area.

city. Your closer than the one in the west.

25 April and as you once again become aware of the
compound on 25 April, describe it to me.
#O1: The only difference is that the tanks are
rearranged, some missing.

#01: Some are missing.
#66: Inventory.
#01; .....Two first rows a...front left 9 are gone. 18
of them are gone. Seems to be more crowded now
inside the compound.

#O1: Just feels fuller. Some kind of screen has been
erected on the outside, can't tell if it's wood or
cloth. I think it's cloth. It's like to block the
view..It's around the tank area and it's around the
front right area, kind of a mechanic's area.

#O1: All over I see some along side of road,...see some
by a hill....
#G6: All right, I understand your perspective, and I
don't wish to pursue my question further because I
understand what you're telling me. Return to

#GG: I have no further questions. But I would like to
allow you now that you're in the time window of 25
April, to describe on your own without the confines
of my questions.
#O1: ...I'm going to tell you that I'm still getting
the overlay of the man in the room who dies, very
strong.
#66: Describe this man to me.
#O1: Dark, dark hair, speckled with gray or sandy color,
very heavy mustache, mid, late forties, high
cheekbones, heavy eyebrows. Getting a feeling of
older someway, maybe his mental state.
#G6: His height and weight?
#O1: ..5' 6",ah... 160-155 - medium to light build, dark
skin.
#G6: Distinguishing scars or marks?
#Ol: ..I don't get any, so I don't, ..have trouble with
that.

#O1: ..Nervous, nervous condition in left eye, left eye,
something with left eye.

DRAWING EXPLANATION
#pl; Page #1 is a representation of my perceptions of
this very large and very heavy tank, as best as I
can draw it. It's missing a lot of the details
simply because I just don't know how to do that,
you know. There's so much there. I wrote
important notes down about it. The point is, this
thing is very large and very heavy, the turret is
really massive, you know, it's like almost an over
kill on turret.
#O1: Page #2 is an outline of the compound area and with
a dotted line around the sections of tanks that
dissappeared from the compound by 25 April. And I
put all the arrows showing different directions to
cities and whatnot. And that's essentially it.
