The following is in reply to reference B concerning
expenditures outlined in reference A,
1. The 10 ton air conditioner at Receiver 25X1A
Site is currently beyond economical repair and must be
replaced. The heat loading from electrical sources is
77.1 kw. Calculations based on this, normal occupation,
building structure, and local temperature conditions
require 21.8 tons of air conditioning. This can be
provided with two units locally available. The
description for the 10 ton split unit is:
A. Carrier Fan Coil Unit (Model 40 012)
B. Carrier Condenser (Model 38 AB 012)
The cost is $3,270 each without discount. This is
within the Gold Flow limitations in price and authority.
2. Renovations are shown on the attached drawing.
A small building will be built at A to house the air
conditioner. It is located to take advantage of existing
duct feeders. The old utility room at B will be converted
into an office and the office at C will be used for
expansion of the operations area, With these renovations
in progress, this would be an expeditious time to enclose
the northwest corner of the building (Area D) giving some
relief of critical overcrowding. Estimates for the small
air conditioning room, the renovations and the expansion are
$500, $800 a 3,000 reppective1 plus a 10% co tinge cy.
