1. Met with IADs, at which time we drafted the CIA response to
Gen. Partridge's request for an evaluation of intelligence on Bulgaria and
Southern Rumania and an indication of the importance of supplementing such
intelligence. Later delivered this evaluation to Gen. Partridge.
2. While talking with Gen. Partridge (and also on Friday when
talking with Gen. Samford) I suggested the advisability of appointing an
acting chairman for the Watch Committee, in the light of possible changes
in G-2. Both agreed that this would be the best procedure.
