1. Attended IAC Meeting.

2. Following the IAC Meeting, discussed with 0 the notes
that he takes during the meeting. He tells me that he has started his
system within the past three weeks and that it is the plan of 0/NE to
file a transcript of these notes. This file would be available to DD/I
on call.
3. Informed Bill Truehart of State that Mr. Becker is apparently
on schedule and that the only change about which we have been informed
is that he will arrive on the 14th instead of the 15th as 25X1A6a
formerly planned.

4. of 0/SI called to say that he has many of the answers
to the questions posed tol in the 0/RR letter dealing5X1A6a
with technical intelligence experts in I put a 25X1A6a
tracer on this letter, found that it had not yet been despatched by FI
and recalled all copies. These will now be returned to 0/RR so that
25X1A9a can discuss the matter.
5. Mr. Papich (FBI) Liaison Officer (Code 175 X-515) called to
see Mr. Amory and in the latter's absence I took Mr. Papich request.
It was that Mr. Hoover is very much interested in the subject of fly-
ing saucers and it has been reported to him that the matter was dis-
cussed at the IAC Meeting of !t December. Mr. Hoover had asked Papich
to obtain as much information as we are willing to give him. I dis-
cussed with DD/I, who later discussed it, in turn, with General Smith.
It was decided that 0/SI would be authorized heave to brief Papich with
25X1A9a as much information as is available from 0/SI to the other IAC members.

6. Attended the 0/CI dry run of the Eisenhower briefing in the
Director's Conference Room.
7. Colonel J. C. King visited DD/I and inadvertently picked up
some highly sensitive papers belonging to Mr. Sheldon when he left
the office. After considerable telephoning, we locatdd Colonel King
at the Army Navy Club. I went Stith him to his office at Quarters III",
obtained the papers from him (he had not and he did not then read them)
and returned them to the 0/CI Watch Officer at about 7.30.
