Approved For ReleaseQ000/09/12 : CIA-RDP79-01041A000100020039-1 Security Information DIARY Executive Officer, O/DD/I Friday, 12 December 1952 1. Attended the special Selection Panel Meeting from 10 to 12:30. Two cases were processed by the Panel. One dealt with "administrative" informa- tion developed by I & S during their security investigation. This was to the effect that the applicant was extremely unpopular with his subordinates and had a great deal of enemies and was a great deal of trouble as a braggart and in many respects a very undesirable employee. All of this was despite the fact that he had a clear record security-wise. The Panel recommended that he be turned dawn. The second case dealt with a young woman in her early 30's regarding whom investigation had shown a few instances of rather loud and noisy parties. The Panel felt that this was not derogatory as no instances had followed this activi- ty. Panel recommended that she be accepted for career employment. 25X1A9a 25X1A9a At DD/Its suggestion, called and asked him to invite Col. to the briefing on Monday, to be given in the Logistics Office by Mr. 3. I have revised the procedure followed in these offices on filing of cables. This has been co-ordinated with all members and should make it consider- ably easier both to file the cable and to find them on call. Briefly, each cable will be filed in numerical order and cross referenced - notations will be placed in the subject or regional files. It is anticipated that very few such cross references will be necessary. One exception has been made temporarily and that is that all cables with reference to Mr. Becker's trip are being held in his trip folder until after his return. When they are no longer needed for this purpose, they will be filed in numerical positions. 4. Participated in the air raid exercise. 25X1A9a 5. was pushing a paper for DCI signa- ture on Guatemala. Comments were obtained from AD/CI and these went with the paper to DCI when he signed. Much of this was handled without DD/I assistance but at about 1635 Mr. Wisner called DD/I in an effort to locate the papers so that they might be studied by Mr. Wisner before he left for 1700 hour meeting at State. I ran the papers down and as no provision had been made by Colonel King to pick them up, I volunteered and hand-carried them to DD/P. 25X1A9a Security Information This document Is part of an Integrated Approved For Release 2000/09/12 : CIA-RDP79-01041 AW04Q &H#4 Fii it must is subjected to individual systematic review.
